Help Us Say Goodbye…

Today is my last day in Cache Valley…. Today is a very bittersweet day. …so do me a favor and continue to read this entire post. It’s a bit sappy so bear with me. I am reluctantly stepping down from being your Coach. This is by far one of the hardest things I have ever had to write. I can remember me coaching my first class at 5:15 am… and all the crazy looks I got with my coaching style (but it grew on you all…well some…well hopefully a few lol). I LOVED it right away. I was getting to do CrossFit and help others with something I was passionate about with some really amazing people. I learned over the next 7 years exactly how amazing and inspiring you all truly are… Honestly, because of my own stupidity, I thought the things I read or heard about “community” was a joke. I mean seriously, how can a 5 1/2 min of Fran totally annihilate me for the rest of the day? It was so awesome to see people in the gym compete with each other, cheer each other on, pick each other up, and then sit around after class to catch up on everything. What was even more awesome was seeing people come together to help out fellow members outside of the gym, to be there and truly care for each other outside of the gym. I am so lucky to have been part of all of that.

Also, thank you to all the members. You all have inspired me in one way or another. You all put full days in at work yet still come in (most days) with smiles on your faces and work your butts off. You all put your faith in me to help you on your CrossFit journey. I will miss seeing you all.

Over the last 7 years I have put my heart and soul into CrossFit and truly love everything that the community has become. Every one of you are unique, and bring something special into these walls which makes the community as strong and amazing as it is.

This community (family) is bigger than just one person. It is greater than any one coach, any one member or any piece of equipment we use. It is not about me…It is about you. Each of you make it special and make it the great place that it is.

Thank you for allowing me into your lives. Thank you for believing in me and trusting in what I wanted for you and this community. Thank you for coming in everyday and allowing me to give you the service that expected and beyond. Thank you for smiling and laughing and crying with me.

Thank you for allowing me to be myself and to coach you the best I knew how. Thank you for letting me become your friend and I am SO grateful for the relationship we have created together.

Thank you for saying hi and being kind to new and unfamiliar faces. Thank you for being coachable and trusting in me. Thank you for making this an amazing place by participating in the events.

This has not been an easy decision by any means. Even now I struggle to put these words together as the relationships I have built with each of you mean so much to me.

SO Thank you for working hard and leaving with a smile. Thank you for always making my decision to be a coach one of the best decision I have ever made.

Love you all!!!!!
